Family Roots, Strong Communities
The Alberni District Fall Fair returns to Port Alberni from September 10–13, 2026, for four days of agricultural exhibits, midway rides, live entertainment, food, competitions, and family activities. Celebrating its 81st year, the fair continues its long-standing tradition as a gathering place to celebrate and educate while showcasing the people, skills, and agricultural heritage of the Alberni Valley.
The 2026 theme, Family Roots, Strong Communities, recognizes the generations of families, volunteers, exhibitors, farmers, and community organizations that have helped the fair grow into one of the Alberni Valley’s most anticipated annual events.
The Alberni District Fall Fair is held on the traditional territory of the Hupačasath and Tseshaht First Nations. The organizers respectfully recognize these Nations and the many cultures, histories, and languages that continue to influence the region.
2026 Fall Fair Highlights
- Midway Rides and Games: West Coast Amusements returns with carnival rides, games, treats, and midway entertainment throughout the weekend.
- Agriculture and 4-H: Visit the barns and show rings for livestock exhibits, poultry, goats, sheep, beef, dairy, swine, horse shows, and 4-H competitions.
- Home Arts and Exhibits: Browse entries featuring horticulture, floriculture, culinary arts, canning, photography, needlecraft, hobbies, and handmade creations.
- Live Entertainment: Enjoy performers on the main stage throughout the fair, including Saturday night headliner JoJo Mason.
- Logger Sports: Watch competitors demonstrate the strength and skill behind traditional forestry events.
- Fall Fair Parade: The annual parade begins at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, travelling from Burde Street and 10th Avenue to the fairgrounds.
- Food and Vendors: Grab your favourite fair food and browse products from local businesses, artisans, community groups, and vendors.

General Fair Hours
- Thursday: Gates open from 5:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Friday: Gates open from 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Saturday: Gates open from 8:00 AM–11:00 PM
- Sunday: Gates open from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Parking is available free of charge at the Glenwood Centre, Alberni Valley Multiplex, and nearby designated parking areas. Dogs are not permitted on the fairgrounds, so please leave pets safely at home.
