AMAZING NATURE HIKES, including the famous HOLE IN THE WALL
Hole in the Wall is one of those hidden gems visitors treasure on their travels. A favourite among locals, it is also the perfect stop for those driving through to Tofino and Ucluelet on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. This short, easy day hike is suitable for kids and dog friendly, and getting to the Hole in Wall viewpoint takes about 15 minutes walking from the parking lot on well-marked trail.
You will find the trail access just outside of Port Alberni, from a pullout across Highway 4 from Coombs Country Candy. Park near Coombs Country Candy store on the side of the highway (going towards Parksville). Get more details on this trail and others.

RIDE THE West Coast WILD Zipline
Described as “the coolest thing I have ever done” in multiple reviews! This adventure includes ziplining through the canopy of an old growth rain forest then thread through the wild Kennedy River Canyon. With COVID protocols in place, they are scheduled for a spring opening Mid March. Online and telephone bookings available now.
“The scenery that you glide through is amazing! And the staff is awesome too. I was terrified at first but they do a great job of making you as comfortable as you could possibly be while hanging over a 100 foot drop. Also they gave us a nature tour along the way that I wasn’t expecting. It was really cool to learn about the First Nation group. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!”
