Port Alberni Toy Run

41st Annual Port Alberni Toy Run (Sept 13 & 14, 2025)

What began in 1984 with eight friends and a few toys has grown into Western Canada’s biggest motorcycle toy convoy. Up to 1,500 riders now thunder into Port Alberni each September, collecting cash and toys that support children’s programs valley-wide.

Saturday, Sept 13

• 10 a.m. – Riders register (free) and pick up dance tickets at Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park. Each bike must carry a new, unwrapped toy or cash donation.
• 12 p.m. cannon – Mass start. The parade follows Highway 4 into town, finishing at Glenwood Centre.
• 1 p.m. – Show ’n’ Shine, kids’ games, vendors, pig roast and beer garden open at Glenwood.
• 2 p.m. – Adult bike games (sign up on-site).
• 7 p.m.–1 a.m. – Riders’ BBQ & public dance (19+). Tickets $25—first offered to riders at Little Qualicum, then to the public from 1 p.m. at Glenwood.

Sunday, Sept 14

• 8 a.m. – Pancake breakfast for riders and supporters.
• 9:30 a.m. – Poker Run departs (register on arrival).
• 1 p.m. – Live auction, raffles and final beer-garden social close the weekend.

Quick info

• Route to cheer: Little Qualicum Falls gate, Beaver Creek turn-off, and Harbour Quay fountain loop are top viewing spots.
• Road closures: Rolling traffic control on Hwy 4 & Johnston Rd, noon–1 p.m. Saturday.
• Parking: Spectator parking in the Glenwood overflow lot (Roger St.); bike-only parking inside main gates.
