The Community Arts Council of the Alberni Valley is excited to present the first-ever Alberni Valley Children’s Arts Festival, a special Family Day Weekend event celebrating creativity, imagination, and the arts! Join us on Sunday, February 16, from 10 AM to 3 PM at Gyro Park for an unforgettable day of hands-on activities, live entertainment, and artistic expression for kids of all ages.
🌟 Festival Highlights:
🎵 Live Music & Performances – Enjoy fantastic entertainment, made possible by Tseshaht [c̣išaaʔatḥ] Forestry.
🎨 ‘Creation Station’ – Get creative with fun art projects, thanks to the A.V. Port Authority.
🎈 Balloons & Face Painting – Bring home a colorful balloon and get your face painted, sponsored by Coastal Community Credit Union.
🖌 Art-Making for All Ages – Express yourself through art, with guidance from PAV Art Therapy.
🔍 Scavenger Hunt – Go on an adventure with a festival scavenger hunt, courtesy of Coombs Country Candy.
🎩 Magician Performances – Be amazed by magic tricks and illusions, presented by A.V. Tourism.
🔬 STEM Makers Zone – Get hands-on with science, technology, and engineering activities, hosted by A.V. Makerspace.
🎭 Puppet Performances – Enjoy engaging puppet shows with A.V. Museum & Portal Players.
🧶 Fibre Spinning Demonstrations – Watch artisans from the A.V. Fibre Guild in action.
🧸 Teddy Bear Repair, Local Vendors & More! – Bring your well-loved stuffed animals for a little TLC and explore unique offerings from local artisans.
