Annual Bullhead Derby

Come out for a day of fishing filled with fun, food, prizes, and more!

All children 12 years of age or younger are welcome to register for free.

Registration begins at 9:30 am; Fishing starts at 10:00 am and ends at 12:00 pm.

All fisher kids must be accompanied by an adult/guardian and wear a life jacket during the event. Gently Down the Creek Program has kindly offered some life jackets to be borrowed, should you not have one. There will be a few additional fishing kits floating around, should you not have one or are unable to purchase one. Just let one of the volunteers know and they will hook we’ll up!

There will be fish and ocean themed crafts, along with hot dogs and drinks for sale (a free hot dog and drink to each registered child).

The event is sponsored by the Alberni Valley Lions and the Maritime Heritage Discovery Centre.
