Feel the excitement as the Sproat Lake Regatta returns for another action-packed weekend of high-speed boat racing on one of Vancouver Island’s most scenic lakes.
Taking place July 11–12, 2026, this free spectator event features an impressive lineup of racing classes, including Formula 1, Formula 40, drag boats, flat bottoms, jets, and outboard racing. Watch competitors reach incredible speeds while enjoying spectacular views from the beaches of Sproat Lake Provincial Park or from the water.
Visitors can also get a behind-the-scenes look at the boats and race teams when the pits open to the public on Friday evening, making it a great opportunity to meet drivers, see the race boats up close, and experience the atmosphere before the racing begins.
Whether you’re a longtime racing fan or simply looking for an exciting summer weekend in the Alberni Valley, the Sproat Lake Regatta offers fun for the whole family.
