Dating back to the summer of 1928, the first Sproat Lake Regatta event included boats as fast as 20 horsepower, and races of up to five miles in length. Formed in 1930, the Sproat Lake Motor Boat Club decided to expand this into a fun event held in July. Nowadays, visitors can enjoy swimming and water sport competitions and performances, as well as the thrilling races!
