At the 2024 British Columbia Beer Awards, Dog Mountain Brewing struck gold with their Dark Belgian Strong Ale, while Twin City Brewing earned a bronze for their Canadian Spruce Tip Beer. Twin City Brewing also claimed the prestigious Brewery of the Year title, adding to the celebration for the Alberni Valley craft beer community. Additionally, Twin City Brewing’s Canadian Spruce Tip Beer secured another bronze at the Canada Beer Cup on October 18th, where over a dozen Vancouver Island-based breweries were recognized. Dog Mountain Brewing’s Dark Belgian Strong Ale also claimed gold at this national competition, which celebrates the best of independently owned and operated breweries across Canada.
