A perfect home base for day trips makes the region an extremely popular Vancouver Island destination, and we recommend reserving as far in advance as possible.
Activities for RV travellers are limitless, many within easy access from your campground. The Alberni Valley is renown for incredible forest, mountain, and waterfall views and hiking trails, wildlife watching and sport fishing. Those seeking something more extreme will find excellent opportunities for activities like kite surfing, mountain biking, zip lining or wake boarding.

RV Friendly Campgrounds
Arrowvale Campground
The Arrowvale grounds has scenic riverside campsites and two luxurious cedar cottages. It is also located in close proximity to Collins Farm, which produces grass fed beef, local polyfloral honey, as well as fresh pumpkins and delectable Maple syrup seasonally. If that wasn’t enough, Collins Farms also keeps a beautiful team of Canadian horses.

Ideal if you are looking for… Peace and quiet with a family atmosphere.

“This is our favourite Vancouver Island campground. The setting is very picturesque, the varied treed and open sites are ample size for our 33′ Class A, the power and water connections are well done and as we left this fall, the owners were installing sewer connections, a huge task. The owners / hosts are the most pleasant and accommodating people you can imagine. They will go out of their way to make sure you are happy. The setting along the river, the walking trails, the safe family atmosphere and the down to earth nature of the owners will make you want to return. Timberlodge & RV Campground
Located on the outskirts of Port Alberni just five minutes from the city centre, Timberlodge RV & Campground is renowned for its hospitality and excellent service. China Creek Campground
China Creek Campground offers an immersive Vancouver Island RV camping experience. Relax in one of our 250 tent or RV campsites with beautiful forested or beachfront scenery. We have sites that offer full service hookups or authentic wilderness camping experience in un-serviced sites. Camping is available either nightly or seasonally.
RV Adventurer’s Note: Offering over-sized and full or partial serviced sites, so you can have all the convenient amenities such as water, hydro, septic and on-site sani-dump services.

“My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at China Creek Campsite. The weather was beautiful and the bathrooms and showers were very clean, especially for a campground. There are plenty of trails that extend from the grounds so you can venture out watching all the kite boarders from the beach was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Everything was pretty quiet at night time which was nice as I am a light sleeper and the staff were incredibly sweet and helpful (shout out to Selene in the office who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable!) Stamp River RV Park
There are 2 km of walking trails at this park. A 0.5 km trail leads from the parking lot at the day-use area to the fish ladder. A lookout above the fish ladder has great views of the river and spawning salmon in the autumn. Signs at this point offer information about the fish spawning cycle. The trails continue through the forest. There is also a loop trail that overlooks the river.
Ideal if you are looking for… Easy access to hiking trails.
